Hello Everyone,
I am in a difficult situation in regards to my parent's application. Their application processing is almost done. They had their medicals done in July. PCC and FBI reports were sent along with the RPRF. RPRF was paid on August 24, 2018. Delhi immigration sent us an email last week asking for the RPRF, however, we had already sent it along with the above documents. My representative sent them the RPRF receipt on Friday. This Monday they send an email back saying-

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in reference to subject’s application for admission to Canada.
Please be advised that the attached landing fee receipt provided by you has been associated with another file.
Grateful if you could provide us with an updated landing fee receipt for your client so that we can resume processing.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Sincerely,

Immigration Section/ Section de immigration
High Commission of Canada in India / Government of Canada
I have no idea what to do now. My representative told me that I might have to pay again. $980 is a lot of money going to into dump.

Usually CIC is insane and unpredictable, but could it be possible that your agent sent your receipt for another client application?

In the interest of moving the application forward, pay again, and then claim back the old one from CIC when you have time to email them, call them, or threaten them with lawsuit. They won't hold the money. And if they do, they will have to pay you back with interest if you file a small claims court but the chances of getting to that is less than 1%.

Unless, like the other poster said, your agent has provided you with wrong barcode.

No word from my side, since the medical exam was passed in July 2018. Don't know how much long it will take.
Why does your excel say "upfront medical"? I thought that is not allowed in PGP anymore and you have to wait for them to provide you with a request to take to panel physician.

London is pretty slow and unfortunately it has become our *second office* - first office is New Delhi. Don't know what the heck this means but I want London to move it's lazy rear end and get to working.

Yes, I think that might have been the case. It is so frustrating. :(

Hello Friends, calling for help:

I have a question about passport validity. My parents got their immigrant visa stamped on 21-August-2018 at NDVO. Their passport expiry is 28-May-2019 and the visa is also valid until the same date. They are planning to come to Canada around end of March 2019. So when they fly to Canada, their passports validity will only be for two months. My plan is to get it renewed in Toronto after they land. However I have heard that the requirement is that the passport should be valid for minimum 6 months, if it is lesser, the immigration in India will not let you board the flight. Is that true? Would it cause any problems?

@YULIA-2016 I asked in the forum that you suggested but no response.
