Dear I applied paper based 70 days before, upon email to CIC, they have given me application number and asked that my application is under process. Can I check the application status again that application number mentioned by Cic?

Could not get what u are saying. If you have the application number, you can surely check the status. But as you say u already checked the status, so I don't know what else do you really want to ask by contacting CIC.

Any one please share what is the procedure for deferral of admission to next semester. Do I have to reapply for admission or I just have to request university and they will do the rest.

please ask the admissions department and copy to your supervisor, they will do the rest. This is the standard procedure.

Request the university. If they have the academic policy of rolling over the admission (Which almost all universities have), they will roll over your admission. But admission is roll overable for only one time, if you decide not to join in next intake too for whatever reason, then your admission would be cancelled.

When you reach the office a receptionist outside will confirm your booking and ask you to wait till your name is called. Once your name is called you will be directed inside where a token will be issued. Once it is your number you will go to a counter where data entry will take place, and you will then make your payment. After this an X-ray scan will be performed and then further tests will take place when it is your number. After the test you will have to wait until there comes a verbal report about you X-ray. If clear you will be good to go else there might be further scans. The process in its entirety may take r to 4 hours.

For all those guys who are worried about visa, i am going to offer a sincere advise. For those of you who are funding their education from own sources, for next intake, try to have two admissions instead of one. Try to get admission in USA as well. USA visa processing is way too quick. And its not disturbed by political turmoil either. Atleast i am doing that, i thought it better to share it with you all. Make sure that you get admission in STEM program. Google whats STEM. STEM program graduates tend to get expedited settlement opportunities and etc.

Brother thanks for your valueable suggestion but i think getting USA student visa us not that easy in comparison with canada.

I am in a strange situation. I have applied for my study permit online 69 days ago and haven’t got any update since then. The worst part is I am not able to login myCIC account using myGC Key or user ID for more than two weeks. Initially I though its network issue so it will be solved automatically by CIC but when I tried to login on Monday(this week) it says your user ID or Password is missing, invalid or incomplete. Even I try resetting my password but it didn’t work as well and got my ID locked for 24 hours. I am sure I am entering the correct user ID and Password and still not able to do login. Any advice or suggestions, what can I do now or how to check my visa status application ?

It happened to me and later it was automatically resolved. But the situation lasted only two days so you better email them quick. Also try using a proxy like Ultrasurf
