Dear I applied paper based 70 days before, upon email to CIC, they have given me application number and asked that my application is under process. Can I check the application status again that application number mentioned by Cic?

No idea.. But to check any status you need CIC account.. which is only for online application... so I have no idea.. if they gave u application number try to find status on cic web by login it... as it not hurt ur application process

Request the university. If they have the academic policy of rolling over the admission (Which almost all universities have), they will roll over your admission. But admission is roll overable for only one time, if you decide not to join in next intake too for whatever reason, then your admission would be cancelled.

Thanks bro! my classes are going to start on 3rd September but haven't even got medical call yet . Now I feel everything goes smoothly pertinent to SP then I would not be able to get this semester thats why going for deferral .

Make sure you that you ask your university what is the latest join by date for your program from your program co-ordinator. Some times universities have orientation activities/ice breaking sessions/preparatory coursework/cultural integration for 1st week and under dire circumstances university allow students to join after that. Once you have definite confirmation and you are certain that you dont have enough time to have visa, send your visa application cancellation request instead of getting refusal on the account that your program has already started. Its because you can apply next year again and you will face less difficulty to obtain visa.

For all those guys who are worried about visa, i am going to offer a sincere advise. For those of you who are funding their education from own sources, for next intake, try to have two admissions instead of one. Try to get admission in USA as well. USA visa processing is way too quick. And its not disturbed by political turmoil either. Atleast i am doing that, i thought it better to share it with you all. Make sure that you get admission in STEM program. Google whats STEM. STEM program graduates tend to get expedited settlement opportunities and etc.
