How much is the cost of mobile and sim in toronto. is it better to purchase it from toronto or carry from Pakistan.

"Chatr" sim is available in 20$(once) and 20$ for monthly rent with free incoming and limitless calls in Canada.However for international calls you could use card or package from Raza.com costing 11$ for 112 minutes for everywhere in pakistan whether mobile or landline.
I was using Nokia 700 and blackberry in Pakistan and both are good here.

do not delay try to go with the expiry of yur sin passport. otherwise it will be delayd for 2-4 month additonl

Alhamdulillah, today I received my passports back from LVO with visas and COPR and forms for children vaccination record which I should get signed by my children doctor as a proof of vaccination. The visas were issued on 30 July 2013 by LVO and they had sent passports to Canadian Embassy in Riyadh. A lady from Canadian Embassy in Riyadh called me in the afternoon and told me she's going to ship passports today via aramex and gave me the tracking number. As tomorrow is the Eid day so I feared the courier will deliver my passports after Eid vacation. I went to aramex warehouse in Riyadh (Exit 16 Sulai) and got my passports just in time
It has been a long and tiring journey to some extent. It took me 3 years and 7 months to reach there.
I want to thank all the members of this forum as I owe a great debt of gratitude for all the help and support provided by all. Special thanks to KhiPak for maintaining the database so faithfully.
I will keep you posted on further developments.I am planning to leave for Canada in Oct last week. I will spend two weeks in London before flying onward to Ottawa. May all of you proceed to the next step very soon.

Alhamdulillah, today I received my passports back from LVO with visas and COPR and forms for children vaccination record which I should get signed by my children doctor as a proof of vaccination. The visas were issued on 30 July 2013 by LVO and they had sent passports to Canadian Embassy in Riyadh. A lady from Canadian Embassy in Riyadh called me in the afternoon and told me she's going to ship passports today via aramex and gave me the tracking number. As tomorrow is the Eid day so I feared the courier will deliver my passports after Eid vacation. I went to aramex warehouse in Riyadh (Exit 16 Sulai) and got my passports just in time
It has been a long and tiring journey to some extent. It took me 3 years and 7 months to reach there.
I want to thank all the members of this forum as I owe a great debt of gratitude for all the help and support provided by all. Special thanks to KhiPak for maintaining the database so faithfully.
I will keep you posted on further developments.I am planning to leave for Canada in Oct last week. I will spend two weeks in London before flying onward to Ottawa. May all of you proceed to the next step very soon.

Dear All

Happy Eid.
Just to update little changes that I observed in the landing procedure Might be help others.

I landed At Toronto on 06-Aug-2013. There are only two type of counters one for all Canadian citizen / PR Card holders Second one for Visitors. New Landed immigrant also have to follow the Visitors queues. Rest all process was same. A Good change that now Service Canada counter is also along the CBSA counter they started to make the new SIN Cards at the airport since last couple of weeks. They will continue the service till Nov 2013 if its shows the +ve result it will become the part of landing procedure as well.
