My friend is a travel agent and he quoted me for 110 k from Karachi to Toronto on PIA and to Edmonton on Air Canada. 125 k is very expensive.

Actually travel agent will give you cheaper rates than PIA directly, accordingly my friend. This is a strategy of airlines to give more business to travel agencies.

Hi Guys,
I need some info from you guys, on how the Pak Passport request works and its timelines.
Have a friend who has a Passport request letter issued to them. The problem is that his medical expires in July mid, and to compound things he is not in Pak as well (works in other country).
The visa office has informed that they can authorize someone in Pak to deal with the passport etc (I haven't read the details of the letter).
Lets say they send the docs/passport via TCS (from pak) to the embassy, then what is the further procedure and what time does it take to complete the entire process and have the visa in hand. They have asked for original passport, is that they way PPR1 works?
Would appreciate some urgent feedback.
