Pakistani Applicants waiting for PPR (Stage 1 or 2 letters) from CHC London

Guys pls let me have your opinion. I submitted my passport in islamabad on 15th oct and ecas changed to decision made on 16th oct but till date no sign of passports. Is there any way of tracking it or by when i can initiate an inquiry

thanks for reply soon yes fair sounds good we ve 3 kids so its seem good option but we want from islamabad to toronto . i wish that day come with happiness but uve not told abt baggage problem and how much weight is allowed wit one person .

Dear all,

Today I received our confirmed tickets for Mar 20. Although it is very early (before visa stamping) to book but the reason is the earlier you book the lower you will have to pay. And in case of any issue in visa stamping (Khuda na Khwasta) then tickets can be refunded for a meager cost on account of Cancellation charges i.e. 6,000 per tickets as per my travel agent. I used the route Karachi - Dubai - London (Emirates) & London Calgary (American Airways). These cost me around Rs. 75,700/- per adult. For persons going to destinations other then Toronto / Montreal, I will suggest not to have a stop over at Toronto / Montreal because in that case you have to do your immigration formalities at there. For people going to Toronto, I think Turkish is a very good option while for others, Emirates is the best option. Its my opinion.......

Can you please share about Luggage? are you taking standard luggage or more (several suggest to take most of your belongings like cloths, shoes and others). Did you check how much more for extra luggage?

Also confirm the size of hand carry in US/Canadian airlines, I heard it is different from rest.

one thing more pia flight from islamabad to toronto is 14 hrs so 2 +4=6hrs but saving a not giving host a problem seems good option . any plans for renting from here (i mean search and than make a commitment after reaching their)pakistan is really cheap u know u can get good house in those rents in a good location . i know its not a right place to ask abt renting as their are other pages for this but as u all ve plans to move so sharing is not a bad idea

but isn,t there is a risk of baggage loss during transit in istanbul . ppl take PIA as its direct and no worries of baggage .can u share the fares if u ve done any research .turkish lair lines planes are also like PIA.no good standard and we dont know about their service .

You have faith on PIA, i doubt that.

I got medical examined in the last week of July-12, and sent updated police certificate and schedule A (back ground declaration) via courier to London Visa office in the second week of July 2012. Against my enquiry I received reply from LVO (Oct 8, 2012): “Background checks are currently outstanding and we expect these to take at least two months”.
I need your guidance that what to do as two months have passed already from July 12.

Secondly, I want to open foreign currency account as PAK rupees is devaluating day by day and I have irritated by maintaining bank account for proof of fund since 2009. Guide me, which bank and which currency (US or Canadian dollar or EURO) can be safe and advantageous. Residence: Karachi

As per current trend, it seems that you could expect your PPR1 after 5-6 months. As for foreign currency account, I think USD is the best option.

One of my friends who was given 6-12 months waiting letter got Email from LVO asking for RPRF+Updated forms and PCC five days back. So dear members who got the 6-12 months wait letter should be ready to get their response from LVO.

AoA Beautiful People,

I emailed MCH at LVO for an update on my PPR1 & was told that the PPR1 was emailed on October 26th. I didn't get that email. Anyway, MCH attached it with the reply.

Just wanted to post this so that if there's anybody waiting for their PPR1 like me, a CSI could bring some clarity.

Anyway, the planning begins now for my family. To all those who prayed for those in waiting, Thank You.

Let the games begin ;D
