So today we received our passports back with visa stamp and COPR. ALHAMDULILAH

My complete timeline is as below:

Scores: 463 with spouse
Category: FSW
ITA: 2nd Oct 2015
File Submitted: 6th Nov 2015
AOR: 7th Nov 2015
Medical Passed: 10th Nov 2015
BG in progress: 5th April 2016 (After a long silent wait)
PPR: 12th April 2016
Passport Submitted to VFS: 13th April 2016
CIC status closed and approved: 29th April 2016
Passport received back: 2nd May 2016

A long hefty journey of getting approval has come to an end but a different kind of fear has replaced everything. Hope to get through easily. INSHALLAH

There is no point that they start processing JAN 2016 applications because still there is huge backlog for DEC 2015 participants!

ECA is acceptable from WES and five other institutes but WES completes ECA in shortest time.

I am not sure about Federal Board but you can check federal board website or their office in Islamabad. Normally you have to pay some verification fee and submit your credentials for sealing in envelope as per instructions on WES website.

mate u have to read in dept from www.cic.gc.ca

for a start, u need IELTS (General Training) and ECA report (education equivalency)

when u will read information on www.cic.gc.ca, u will get to know which body will provide u ECA report. if your from Pakistan, attempt IELTS GT from AEO rather than BC. - There is no difference, except for marking style. u tend to get more marks when u attend from AEO.

i am going to done my ECA from WES. i have few confusions

1. my bachelors and master is from punjab university. do i have to go there or HEC ?
2. my intermediate is from federal board. i have done my FSc from Kuwait and HSSC is of federal. can i do my ECA without intermediate? i mean what about if i only go for bcom, MBA and MPhil which are all from punjab university?

if anyone has gone through ECA process through WES recently, can they guide me step by step?

HSSC is required for ECA

For HSSC , please go to federal board, pay the verification fees and asked them to provide your certificate sealed in envelope for canada. Include the form that is provided to you in instructions of WES application.

For bachelors and higher, please go HEC one window either in Lahore or Islamabad whatever is feasible for you. Pay the fees and get your envelope sealed for Canada.
This is normal stuff so board and HEC guys generally know what to do.

At first i was thinking to hire a consultant but after joining this forum and meeting generous people like you, i am confident that i can do it. i have heard that IELTS scores effect this process a lot. i have got 8 bands overall with 9 in reading, 8 in listening, 7 in writing and 7.5 in speaking. my husband got 6.5 overall with 6.5 in speaking and 7 in listening. i have more than 5 years experience in a job which falls in category 0 (financial accountant) in occupation list. do you think i have fair chance of getting ITA as I am the principal applicant or should i go for my hubby as PA if they prefer male as PA because i have seen very few females as PA on this forum?

Oh please - It is Canada you are applying for. The selection is based upon points - irrespective of gender. Just calculate your points both ways and see which way you get a better score and profile and chose principal applicant. There are no gender preferences. Doing so is illegal here.

You both create your profiles. If you have low score, then go for PNP. There NOCs which are in demand with provinces. I think you both have different NOCs. Which will be beneficial.
