Package got returned and now the forms got updated by CIC

Hi everyone,

I sent my package before the forms were updated (10-2017), so we filled all the forms dated (12-2016). Now the package got returned to us for some missing information. Do I need to start over and redo everything with the updated forms? If so, how do I make my wife sign the documents from Colombia?

Second question is about the (2) photos of my wife we took and sent, it seems they're too small so they don't meet the required specs. Can she take the pictures again in Colombia and have them sent here? Or is there a faster / more effective way to do this?

Hi there. My visa office is Bogota, Colombia, so I can help you with specific questions you may have if you want to.
The previous version of those forms were from 06-2017, so you had the outdated ones from the start. If you send those again, probably your application would be returned again. You should fill out the updated forms now. Your wife would have to sign them herself and send them to you via mail. Since she would have to do this, she should as well take new pictures with the correct specifications.
I have quite some experience with the VO, so if you want to know more about the process, feel free to ask.

I would complete the new form. What is your timeline? When did CIC receive your application?

It's safer for you to just complete the new forms. As for the signatures, my husband signed from Serbia, scanned the forms, and I signed his scans after printing them out. My app wasn't returned, and is now being processed by the VO
