Feb 2022 - Submitted our PR application (in canada protected person and overseas partner)

Jan 2024 - PR granted to me

Feb 2024 - Confirmation my partners PR application was sent to the local office (New Delhi)

Sep 2024 - Additional documents requested for my partner (new passport, relationship proof etc.)

Sep 2025 - Biometrics (partner)

Dec 2025 - Medical request (partner)

hey when did you recive pre arrival services mail?

Hi everyone,

My overseas family member has an application on process but she has moved from the country she applied from and now she is in Canada on work permit,
Is it possible to request that the application be moved to the new visa office in their current country and being processed with the main applicant as an inland application?
Has anyone done this? and did it delay your process?

I am May 30 2023 applicant. received eligibility august 2024.

is it a positive sign?

It is a positive because it is another thing to check off your list on the pathway to PR. The name confuses people but pre-arrival email is purely procedural and can happen at anytime after eligibility. It is not a good predictor of when someone will receive FD.
