Hi everyone,

My overseas family member has an application on process but she has moved from the country she applied from and now she is in Canada on work permit,
Is it possible to request that the application be moved to the new visa office in their current country and being processed with the main applicant as an inland application?
Has anyone done this? and did it delay your process?

I am May 30 2023 applicant. received eligibility august 2024.

is it a positive sign?

It is a positive because it is another thing to check off your list on the pathway to PR. The name confuses people but pre-arrival email is purely procedural and can happen at anytime after eligibility. It is not a good predictor of when someone will receive FD.

hey can you tell me that at the time of pre arrival services email the ircc address shown mississauga ? or your overseas dependent file is transferred to vo?

Prearrival letter can be sent at any point after eligibility so is not a good marker of progress of a file or a good comparison point between applications.

What document request? You only mentioned pre-arrival email. Processing location doesn’t always mean anything. IRCC tries to distribute files across many offices.
