Outland Spousal Sponsorship - PPR question and timeline

Hi everyone. So my wife in China got her passport request (PPR) late last week and is planning to travel to the nearby city (2 hour train ride) to submit passport along with the "package". It sounds like she has to go there in person, am I wrong about that? or is she able to simply mail it?

Also, for people who have been through this process somewhat recently, how long on average do you think it takes to get her passport sent back to her?

Congratulations.

Strongly recommend contacting the visa application centre where she'll submit directly. Varies by country and sometimes even city. Right now in many countries only accepting by post or courier, in others there are options to do so in person.
