Gah no! Typo. Sept 2012! Sorry.

(Actually I'm a super villian. Took a while to convince the FBI to give me one. Had to take hostages, drain some lakes, and steal a few national treasures.)

I haven't decided yet. I'm trying to decide if I want to take the chance Outland will be really fast or do them as Inland because a) I'm super bored; b) my savings are about empty & I really need a open work permit to get a job.

I thougt you could only get a work permit after stage 1 approval which takes a while inland...

That's correct. It's about 6 months for Stage 1 Inland. CPP-Ottawa (the Outland USA VO) is showing 12 months for 80% of applications right now. I'm interested to see if that holds or gets faster.

why don't you go outland? much quicker and should be able to work in about the same time AND get your full residency status.

if I go inland I'd be able to work in the same time it'll take me go outland but hen the process would be over.

the whole not working thing will kinda blow though. kinda why I'm opting out of just going visitor..

CPP-Ottawa is posting 12 months right now. Vegreville (inland) is posting 14 months. It's really not that different.

I suspect CPP-O will get faster once it gets going, but that has yet to be seen.
