I was wondering if anyone here had gone through a similar situation and can help me.
My partner and I would like to transfer a relatively big amount of money from our UK Bank Account (Barclays), to a new account in Canada. Ideally, we want to find out the best way to make this transfer, without paying ridiculous amounts of fee. However, at the moment we don't own any Canadian Bank account.
In your experience, is there any canadian bank account that not only offers a good option for this, accepts big transfers and also allow us to open it from overseas?
