I am on maternity leave until April2018. I am planning to spend the rest of my maternity leave in Philippines. So, me and my baby are staying there until March2018 and planning to leave my baby there with her dad. I have a valid open work permit until Aug2019 and re entry visa is in process. How long can i stay in Philippines, knowing that I am only contract worker in Canada. I already called the CRA about my EI and UCCB. My concern is the immigration if they allowed me to stay abroad for long time while on maternity leave with open work permit only. My permanent residence application is in process. Thanks to all
