Open work permit for spouse already in Canada

Hi guys. I have been in Montreal for 6 months with visitor visa. My PR application is in process for almost one year. Spouse sponsorship is approved and I have CSQ at the moment. I have two questions . Can I get open work permit? If yes, can I go to boarder for getting the visa?

So your spouse is sponsoring you for PR? If your application was filed inland I believe you're eligible for an open work permit, even in Quebec, but you can't get it at the border.

You can apply online for the open work permit.

If you applied inland vs. outland, then you can apply for an OWP. You cannot go to the border. You must submit the application either by paper application or online.
