Let begin, you saw title “Open work permit pilot program for permanent residence applicants in the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class (LMIA exemption code A70)”
Then, they mention that “Under this pilot program, applicants may apply for an open work permit with, or any time after, the submission of their application for permanent residence in the SCLPC class.”

On the tap Menu “Special Initiatives Pilot Project

Now understand?

I am sorry I am dumb. Your point is? CICNEWS claims that the program has been made permanent. So then, what are you trying to use to support that claim?
Oh and btw, that's the first link that comes up when you google "open work permit pilot program". So the link by itself is not news...

that link still says that the deadline is 31st July...
I try to tell you what you think here from my link?
From the link it’s not about previous pilot program, they just mention a bit.
when you google "open work permit pilot program" check the bottom Date modified, which Is new?
If you think that link is not official announcement what you’re looking for. You can wait for another one.
Good luck.

CiC website still states "As of December 22, 2014, open work permits may be issued under a pilot program to applicants who are in the spouse or common-law partner in Canada (SCLPC) class. The duration of this pilot program has been extended to July 31, 2020. "

It doesn't matter if the page was updated on 20-2007-28. It still hasn't changed the end date of the pilot program...

While the CiCNews is a hopeful piece of information, I believe many of us would feel more at ease when the official CiC page is updated to reflect that.

I see, everyone read and stop on that paragraph, so you focus on that as well.
cicnews post on their website, mention that “Instead of setting another expiry date, Canada is now extending the program until the regulatory changes have been completed to implement the pilot as permanent policy.”
you may not trust on their website, also confusing on cic announcements.

I think cic should make the same clear sentence like many agents post.
