Open Work Permit for a Spouse

Hi All,

My wife is a PR and in Canada. I am in India, working in a reputed MNC company. We are applying for Family sponsorship through Outland.
I am a software engineer and I fall under NOC category 2173. Once I reach Canada as a PR, please let me know the procedure to apply for Open Work permit.

How do I apply for a job when I am in Canada?

Should I join any immigration programme? I just want to know how do I apply for a job as I do not want to sit at home for long while my wife is working and how easy/difficult it is to get a job for my skill?

I am software engineer with 7+ years of experience.

Once you have your PR, you will apply for jobs the same way anyone else legal to work in Canada does. No extra steps required .

You can likely look at online job boards now to start getting familiar with the demand for your skills and which companies are hiring.
