Hi guys, congrats to you all! As a person who is still waiting for nomination anxiously, I have a question to ask: are we supposed to get a new reference letter for the new CIC stage? Or can I still use the letter of OINP stage for CIC? My reference letter is dated on Oct 30, 2015. Can I use that for CIC once I am nominted or should get a now one? I am working at school and the summer break is coming, so I need to get it ready in advance in case I get nomination in summer break.

Thanks a lot!

It is recommended to get a fresh reference letter if easily obtainable from your employer. IMO - you can get one before summer vacation.

Proof of Financial Support

Hi ppahuja,

Good to see your post after so many days :-)

What's taking so much time man. Submit your file fast, OINP applications are taking long time after AOR too.

Hi Yogesh - Yeah man, was not getting much time to check out the forum. Almost through with app preparation, don't want to repent later for any silly mistake; so taking my own time. I'm in no hurry to move to Canada buddy, let IRCC take their time ;D

Hope you have already ordered GCMS to see your app progress.

Directly on CIC website. My cousin lives in Canada.

Hello friends,

I am hoping to get an ITA in the next 1-2 draws. My queries with regards to that are:

1) I am not the main applicant, my wife is. But I have lived in USA for 3 years and my wife was there for 2 months only. We also visited mexico for a 2 day trip. Will both of us require a Police Clearance Certificate from USA as well as Mexico or just one of us for all these locations?

2) If I need to apply for PCC from USA, what are the procedures and routes and how much time does it takes?

Thank You.

A: No, You will need just for yourself for US only and not from Mexico as all the rest (and for your wife) of the stay were significantly less than 180 days.

2) If I need to apply for PCC from USA, what are the procedures and routes and how much time does it takes?
A: I know it takes a long time, so apply ASAP at FBI. I am not sure about the procedure, but you need to provide your fingerprints.

Thank You.

It takes upto 8 weeks so you best apply right away..

Thank You.

By the way, anyone know how and from where to get the PCC from USA?
Try this link

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/fbi-pcc-t247817.4365.html

Also a quick google will give you the required details for fingerprint based on which city you are in.
