Hi guys - can anyone suggest when can one ask CIC about their EE file, it has been 5 months that my file is with them but background verification hasn't started yet. I have submitted all additional docs also but no comm from them for last 3 months, it shows additional documents provided and review of eligibility in progress

How long do I need to wait before I can ask CIC about my file status?

Appreciate any inputs...

Need one clarification on the minimum funds required. Do IRCC consider currency exchange rate fluctuations during application process.

When I applied in Early March, 1 CAD was equivalent to INR 50.1588. But today its INR 52.14. If I calculate the difference for a family of three the minimum funds required has increased from INR 933806 to INR 970653 which is a substantial difference.

At the time of application I showed INR 990000 in my account which was well above the required funds. Going my the current trend in currency rates it looks like the CAD will further grow against INR and the minimum funds requirement will surpass the funds i have shown in my application.

Do you feel that IRCC will consider the exchange rate at the time of AOR only?

I personally think that the authoritie will consider the rates during PNP-AOR, PNP-Nomination, ITA-AOR, ITA-PPR ( very less likely but still to be on the safe side ), Landing.

How long does it take for the CRS to be updated after accepting the nomination ?..I received my nomination on Apr,8th and accepted it on Apr,18th ; then I got an email about an update in my profile on Apr,19 but the CRS is not updated, should I contact CIC or wait for a while ?

Received AOR last night too , for 7th dec application. I'm sending additional docs(ECA duplicate+Proof of job search) upfront with file number and case officers initials(MMW). Thank you all for your help and guidance.

One quick question, since I'm planning for a baby; when can I get my upfront medicals done? After FSW Invite(ITA)? And how much time should ITA take in average?

Medical after ITA is usually the best time. Its valid for one year and one should have a valid medical at the time of landing.

I went for medical on 7th march and submitted my file on 8th march. Now since my medical is valid till 7th march 2017, i will have few months after PPR to plan landing.

I am not sure if ITA is required for medical. I am from New Delhi, India and doctors never asked for any document apart from my passport.

Please, All I submitted my P.R application after getting nominated recently. Since my original certificate is not ready (naija factor- four yrs after) I submitted my notification of result plus transcript. This was the same thing I submitted to Wes and Province.

Can this ve any impact?

I also used notification for my wife's WES too.

But for the purpose of PR appl, I think you should add an LOE explaining this, while highlighting the fact that you also used the notification for WES and your nomination in your LOE. I think this should suffice.

I received nomination yesterday from OINP, and have accepted it .
My profile is valid till 29/08/16, and IELTS expire 13/09/2016.
Seen current trend , looks like by the time decision to be made, my profile or IELTS will expire .
Do I need to create a new profile at that time, or there is no issue .
For IELTS , do I need to pass a new one ?
