Hey Dilbert, I've got several :)

1. They stress on writing NA and not leave any blanks, what about under NOC Code, my occupation was "unemployed" and "student", should I leave the NOC field blank?

2. Should I add my current Masters study in Canada? To which date, today's? (because there's no "Present")

3. For education, should I provide the ECA with transcripts or ECA only? What about my wife's credentials?

4. My wife is currently doing a masters, the form asks for completed degrees, but should I add her enrollment? Same goes with mine?

5. I have my documents translated from my home country, notarized, but I now live in ON, should I still get them translated via ATIO?

6. Can I use a bank statement from my father willing to support me that's from 7-8 months ago?

Thanks a lot!
Can you kindly give me more details about your status. Correct me if I am wrong, you are applying under FSW but currently you are in Canada doing your masters ? Also what about your wife's status ? Is she currently in Canada or back home

I'm applying under FSW, currently in Canada and finishing up my masters. My wife is with me, she finished 1 year (of 2) of her masters.

Hello,
If I withdraw my profile and than I again recreate it than do they ask for job seeker validation code?
If yes, Thn where shall I find that code. I tried to search in my job bank acct but couldn't find it.
Please help me out

Thanks
Yes, the form asks for a EE profile number and job seeker validation code, both of which are mandatory. You get the job seeker validation code in the myCIC mail associated with your EE profile. It is a 4 digit number

1) Acceptable methods of payment : Money Order, Cashier/Certified Cheque, Postal Money Order , or Bank Draft. You would have to go to your bank and chose one of the options.
All fees must be payable to the "Ontario Minister of Finance", kindly refer to page 22 of application guide.

2) EE profile number and job seeker validation code is filled at the very top of the application form. http://www.forms.ssb.gov.on.ca/mbs/ssb/forms/ssbforms.nsf/GetFileAttach/005-0205E~2/$File/0205E.pdf
Hi,

1) I didn't know it was possible without bank account number.
2) I do need glasses. :)

Hey Dilbert,

Thanks for initiating this topic!

Do you know what is a true certified copy of degree? I have a Canadian diploma. Does that mean I have to submit my original diploma that I received during convocation? ??? ???

Thanks for your help!

hello,

applicants under CEC do not have to submit spouse's education or work exp documents? Is it only for those who wants to assessed against fswp??

I met both fswp and cec but do not have my spouse's work experience ref letter at the moment. So,i am thinking to select CEC category. is it beneficial to select both, fswp ad cec?

please share your thoughts.

I just finished filling up the OOPNP application form and at the end it generates a detailed checklist. If anyone has questions/feedbacks feel free to post a message in the thread.

The form can be found on http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNP_EE_CAPITAL_HOW.html (scroll down to where it says "Nominee Application for Ontario EE Streams" and click on text)
Hi Dilbert, how did you prepare the work/employment contracts?
Does it refer to the job offer?
And, it seems difficult to get all the contracts in the past ten years.
Please advise. Thank you!

They have a specific question where they ask about other pnp applications...i think that will be a main factors...applicants who have applied for any other province in past have less chances of selection

Hey,

In my case I had to get in touch with my employers where I had worked 7 yrs ago for 9 months. I started of by contacting my old friends that I had connected earlier on facebook and then I had my manager at the time I was working connected via linkedin and that's how I approached them. Just got my reference letter in mail today from them. Yes, it's difficult, you would have to make ten times the effort specially if they are in a different country, however it's not impossible. Keep reminding them and emphasie on the fact that this is critical for your immigration and that makes it a priority. I am sure they would understand and be more than willing to issue you the letter and any other such document if you left your previous workplace on a good note.

If you cannot show any documentation then I would avoid putting the work experience in the form, never know how the CIC agent would respond/react to incomplete information. Please refer to application guide Section 3 for required documentation for work exp. Job offer letter is not the same as reference letter. Job offer letter is issued at the time of joining, reference letter is issued at the time of tenure completion which is what you need.

It is clearly stated in Section 3 app guide that "you must submit the documents to prove your work exp"

anyone in this thread who has no ties to canada or Ontario?

you have to mention your intention to settle in Ontario and can give proof of ties with Ontario. What you guys to do if you have no ties to Ontario or Canada and applying from outside Canada?

This is a grey area, I filled up the form keeping CEC eligibility in mind, then again filled up a dummy form with fswp criteria. Was under the impression that the form is dynamic and would change certain fields, however it remains the same. Don't believe the coders thought it through at the time. The form is specifically designed with CEC candidates in mind. Other candidates have asked the same question, it would be best if someone can call the opportunities Ontario and ask them this question and post it on the forum as that will help other users too.

The form asks "which federal program you are eligible for fswp or cec" Here you can chose the answer as "both"
the next question is "which program you wish to be assessed against" You CANNOT chose both options, you must choose either CEC or FSWP.

Higher priority is given to CEC as stated on the OOPNP website.

Unfortunately if you do not have any ties then you can only select the first line where it asks you "If you become a PR, do you wish to reside in Ontario ?" In the mean while I suggest you to apply for jobs and if you get an interview then you can attach the email/letter from the employer as a prospect

You need to approach the registrar's office for your college and ask them for one. They will certify it with the college seal and the registrar seal/sign, you can also make the request for a sealed envelope for official transcripts at the same time. Call them before you approach them, they might want to see the original diploma that you received at the time of convocation (not sure, just speculating).
