Hi,

I was doing a test run on filling up the application form, and noticed that the form asks for ALL the job experiences from past 10 years or since the age of 18. Is that correct? What did you fill in? Just the qualifying one year experience?

I had part time jobs before my current job (working more than a year).
Section D.3 asks for "Personal & work history" which means you need to provide your status for the last 10 yrs, which can include: studies, employment, unemployment, medical absence, travelling, etc

I am giving my history for 10 yrs backed with evidence/proof

from date & To date for the visit. Duration should be 3 months
then from date & To date for work.

The "To Date" for visit/visitor visa should match the "From Date" for work/work permit documentation. The point being, whatever information you state in the application form or EE profile you need to back it up with solid evidence and link all of them together. There is no penalty for additional documentation provided, however penalty for incomplete documentation might delay the process overall. That's my suggestion. :)
Thanks buddy, just got PT and trying to fill up the form. Will bother you many time for sure, sorry about that :( thanks again

hey dilbert any idea of whether NOC 2173 software engineering is regulated in Ontario or not? if yes then do they need the license now along with application or they give sometime so that one can get it and submit them?

secondly i am filling out the form on the first page there is less space in address field as well as on the section where they ask you about previous applications to any other province. i tried to write but the space is so limited that i am unable to do so. any solution for that?

I would assume YES, it's a regulated profession same as all other Engineers. PEO is the responsible organization. However, regulated at the same time means you hold the "title" of a PENG in this case. If you recently graduated from the field but don't have a PENG yet, it shouldn't be an issue.
1) Have you registered as an EIT ?
2) Are you planning to get your PENG ?
3) Are you currently working under a PENG to gather enough experience to qualify for the exam ?

If you answered "YES" to any of the above then you would need to give an explanation with evidence/proof. Additionally refer to these links :

1) http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/working/OI_HOW_WORK_PROF_PROFS.html
2) http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=2173
Also refer to the application guide Page 11

In my case I am an automotive engineer but working in the IT industry, and have my title as "IT Consultant" :p so I don't need to worry about an explanation even though I studied engineering and I don't plan to become a PENG. Too much headache. :-\

You can show both your account & your wife's account details and provide a letter of explanation stating that the final amount is greater than the LICO amount and this would be used towards your expenses jointly. Also since you are working you can show your income statements along with that.
Getting a money transfer is fine as long as you can give a letter of explanation from a sponsor stating "I __________ is sponsoring my son/daughter/nephew/niece etc... for a Sum of ________. This money is intended for personal use towards personal expenses and is not to be returned..... "
Not the exact wordings but something similar. No offense, but large amounts transfer are flagged by the Canada Revenue Agency and the Security services, you wouldn't want to be in a situation like that, hope you know what I mean. :)

Really????
They already sent me $15K :(
Will that be an issue?

Can someone answer these?

1. If we apply for OOPNP, will we be still in the Pool to get ITA (if we get one). or we are not considered for the draws from the date we submit application to OOPNP ?

2. If we will be in the pool- then we get to stay in the pool until OOPNP gives us the nomination/result or till we accept the OOPNP nomination?

thanks

You are re-aligning your duties and responsibilities, this will only affect the NOC code, it does NOT in any way reduce/increase your total hrs worked. If you can get your employer to sign of the roles & responsibilities for that of a IT consultant (refer hrsdc website) then it's fine. In that case you need not worry about the regulated profession.

PT does not depend on NOC, I have two different NOC codes as per EE profile as I have 2 different employers at the same time. Still got PT

Perfect, if they have already sent it then it's fine. Just ask them to send a letter of support now, saying what the money was regarding.

You don't need to, you can show education (if you have in Ontario). Anything that you add in the form, you would need to provide evidence to back up your statements. Hence be very careful what you put in there. ;D

I believe this has already been answered by Asivad in one of the other threads. You can search for it. He/She (sorry not sure) has explained it quite well.

A certified true copy of your degree granted from an academic institution in Canada;
Can someone clarify this? Do I need to actually get a certified copy from my University or I can ask people who authorized (ie lawyer) to certify the degree copy?
