Hi @andy108 ,

My crs score is currently 435 and i have received an invite from Ontario on August 1st 2019 during the tech draw( which happened for 435 and above)

If i update my express entry profile as spouse accompanying with me to canada my CRS score reduces to 431.
Now is it safe to apply for ONIP as a single applicant or with an accompanying spouse, if applied along with spouse what are the chances of success/rejection ?

I have reached out to multiple consultants but none seem to have enough insight on my current situation.

Please help me with this situation !!!!!!!

Thanks in advance

Hi
Proceed with accompanying spouse, it will not affect your application in any negative way. Let me know if you need more information
Thanks

Thankyou so much for a quick response.
Do they ask for letter of explanation as why am i adding my spouse now and did not add before ?
Also just for the info, i got married on July 6th and received NOI on August 1st so did not really focus on updating the same in my express entry details. However doing so i would not have received NOI as it would have reduced my CRS score.

Hi, Sdagar, I did change my profile from accompanying to non-accompanying. Although, it did change my score a little bit, yet I got the nomination as I did respect their minimum requirement of having 400 CRS score. But you need to mention this change in an LOE when you put in the application for OINP. Hope this helps.
