Hi thank you for the information,
I was wondering if you could tell me how long does it take to receive your Medical test?
I am planing a trip to Germany, so it is very important to me (I wanna stay there for around 2 months in a workshop).
And also how long does it take their assign a file number for your application after you have submitted it in Sydney?

Hi, I tried to reply your PM but can't because your inbox is full. So I'm posting it here, hopefully you don't mind.

Regarding your question 1, I also only submitted my police certificate from home country. But if you've spent more than 6 months in other countries besides your home country and Canada, you need to provide police certification for those countries as well.

Regarding the IELTS, I didn't submit it nor specify anything, and they did not ask me for it, so I assume it's ok. Although, there's one difference between us. I applied under PNP-PHD so I was exempted from IELTS from the first place. But...I think it's ok, based on reading the checklist so many times. If you feel concerned, maybe you can just simply call CIC to confirm?

I submitted my application to Sydney on Mar 31 and got the file number/med request on Apr. 30. So it's about a month. You'll have 60 days to complete your medical exam.

Is it 60 days to show PCC after AOR, if you haven't submitted the PCC along with the application?

Raising the same question here, I got nominated as a PhD graduate. Can we travel outside Canada during the PR processing for a few months as the academic needs, i.e. visiting scholar..?

However I have not heard anything from them at all. Is there any way I can know what is the status of my application?

I have applied on 22 of May, they charged my account on 20th of June. But I did not receive any email yet, When did they charge your credit card?

I apologise in advance if this is in the wrong thread to post this unless someone can direct me to the correct thread I should be posting to.
I have my Provincial nomination certificate and now I am in the middle of my PR application. But I am stuck on how to answer the question on the form IMM0008 Schedule 4 - Economic Classes - provincial nominees. It asks to state the amount of unencumbered funds and I am not sure what amount I need to put in. I am already in Canada and working in a full time job, any ideas as to what amount I need to put in? I can't put the amount in my bank account because it will go up and down (i.e when I get paid and then when I pay for rent and utilities etc, so the amount changes)

i dunno if anybody can guide me about this, but my Visa is expiring on may 7th and PGWP on the 10th june.
Now if i dont get the PNP letter by May end, i was contemplating whether i should just buy time by filing a paper application for WP extension using the PNP File# along with a letter explaining situation( implied status strategy) or should i apply for visitor visa first.
FYI i am working as well so in latter case i cant work till i get a WP ! :-\

@Samboy2005, I am in a similar situation of yours. Can you please tell me what steps were taken by you and did you file your paper based WP extension application? Eagerly waiting for your reply. Thanks!

You can't continue studying PhD. They want u to enter the labor market.

The federal government is raising the bar again for OPNP. Now it is not wise to piss them off in any way.
