Hi all,
My Timeline:
  • Applied Aug 31, 2021
  • Acknowledgment for receipt of application Aug 31, 2021
  • Online test invite Dec 6, 2021
  • Online test taken Dec 24th, 2021
  • Status for test updated Dec 30, 2021
  • Status for Prohibitions, Physical presence,
  • Language skills updated May 18, 2022
  • Status for Citizenship oath May 25, 2022
  • Scheduled for Citizenship oath Jun 10, 2022
Although my citizenship application status dashboard indicates that IRCC could have sent me an email with instructions, I have not received any email (nothing in my inbox, junk, and/or spam). Is any of one has experienced the same? What should I attempt now? I am sure if I send an inquiry to IRCC through web forum, it would take more than 14 days, but, I only have ~10 days for the ceremony. Please help.

If you haven't received it a week before the ceremony, send an email to them. It should be the same email that sent you the citizenship test invite if you still have the email.

Hi All,
Wishing Congratulations to the ones who have completed their Oath or have a date set for it.
I completed by online test on March 22nd, and I have not been any updates on the profile since then.
Wondering if anyone can share, how long it took them to receive an update after completing the online exam
I am in Toronto, ON btw
Thanks

HI Tom,

Can you share your experience about the oath ceremony, whenever possible?

Hi everyone, does anyone knows how long it takes to get the citizenship certificate after the oath? Is it possible to ask to pick it up instead of mailing it? I am scheduled for June 9th and I am leaving Canada June 10th, and I am considering applying for Passport outside of Canada.

I got my Citizenship Certificate in 8 days generally they say you will get the Certificate in 2 weeks but in most cases it takes 8 to 10 days. Well change your plans otherwise you won’t be able to enter Canada . You need either Canadian Passport or P.R. Card to enter Canada. They will make sure that you cut your P.R. Card during the Ceremony. As far as I know that option ain’t available I.e. you yourself picking up the Certificate & I don’t know if you can apply for a Passport outside of Canada well even if you can. You will still need the Citizenship Certificate. It’s up to you I will just wait till I get everything in order before travelling.
