Hi, opening a new thread for sharing experience of those who have received online citizenship test invitation and also additional documents request shortly before or after the test invitation that look like this.

As for me, I am a Aug 2019 applicant from Ottawa. Had my online citizenship test done on Dec 25, 2020, received request for additional documents on Dec 29, 2020, and sent the docs back by replying to the email on Dec 31, 2020 (without the health claim which I mentioned I will send later as soon as I receive it). I had US travel, so I retrieved i-94 from here: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home.

As of today, I haven't received the health claim summary. Also didn't hear back from IRCC. It will be great to know the experience of other applicants who had both online test invitation and additional document request.

I'm from Ontario. I received my provincial health claim in 27 days approximately. Applied on 17th December and received today (14 Jan). If you do not receive it within 30 days, call them on the number provided on the website and provide them with the request number in the subject of the email (I've assumed you are from Ontario).

Thanks for sharing! Yes I am from Ottawa. The email address IRCC used was a generic one for Ottawa, not of any specific agent. Was it also the case for you? I think I have seen someone in the forum saying they received the additional doc request email from specific agent, but I might be wrong...

Did you call the province for the health claim doc? Did you receive any email notification etc. for the doc? After sending the request from their PDF form, I received an email - that's all I got from them.

Also, I am assuming you didn't have US travel. In case you do, how did you retrieve you i-94 info?

I applied on 7th Dec and i did not get it to Windsor yet. I will call then.

Usually they used to ask us to get it in official document from https://foiaonline.gov/foiaonline/action/public/home but post-pandemic they might accept from https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/history-search and parallel you can apply at foiaonline and wait for official document.

@RAJ
Hi, Can you please advise if the records you received are digital or hard copy? Also, did you submit online request for medical records or it was paper form? Thank you very much. Appreciate it.

Ontario health summary request: Requested date: Dec 7 2020, Sent date as per call i had with them: Dec 29 2020, Received: Jan 20 2021
So expect delay of 3-4 weeks for the document to arrive(even if its within the province).

Hi guys, I am new here, can someone tell me how to prepare the test? Is the test easy to pass or not? And what's the process for become a citizen?
Many thanks.

I received mine in around 27 days. I applied mid December and received it mid Jan. I think the timeline varies, which is weird. That is why, I emphasize the importance of applying for these documents beforehand, compile all the documents and keep them ready so that when you get the additional documents request, you will be able to respond to that in the next 10 minutes.

I hope you get the test invite at the earliest. Good luck.

Thanks. Yes, correct, we should get the documents ready.
After seeing your note only i called them to know when they sent it. I didnt know I could.
I was planning to call them again to send shipping slip to send me through courier if i dont receive by next week but it came in this week only. I think that post office is having too much issues handling mails at some locations.

I am ready with the documents but will we(2020 applicants) get our test email this year or not is the mil$ question;)

What kind of documents can one get ready before the actual request comes in? Just curious

Well, that indeed is a difficult question. I already saw one case of a Jan 2020 applicant getting a test invite. I think by the end of second quarter, a sizable number of early 2020 applicants would get their test invites. For mid-3rd quarter 2020 applicants, the test invites might possibly come by the end of third quarter this year. Not very optimistic about oath invites but a good number of early - mid 2020 applicants should see test invites this year.

Read the Discover Canada a couple of time and take a ton of practice tests. I found these practice tests help:

https://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/

http://v-soul.com/onlinetest/

The test itself is, in my opinion, not hard. Just do the practice tests until you regularly score high marks and you’ll be fine.
