Hi,

I know this question is asked a lot, but is it possible to have your TRV refused after getting a passport request? The reason I am asking is because we applied online for a TRV for my brother on Sept 25 and on Sept 28 we got a passport request which says a decision has been made. It seems too soon, especially for the Pretoria office. We applied online for my parents in April of this year and it took a month to get their passport requests. The only difference I can think of is that my brother is a minor and in my invitation letter I had said he would be travelling with my mum who already has a visa.

Any thoughts?

If they had refused, they would just send an explanation letter why they refused, but if the request passport that means you got the visa

Yes, until you have the passport with the TRV in your hands there is always the possiblity the TRV is refused.
