LOL at "english speaking dog!" I've met dogs up here that are more bilingual than me. :D

No pets for me. Husband is allergic to everything with fur. I asked him if I could get a goldfish (this is while he spent 4.5 of our first 5 months here living 6 hours away from me), and he said, "I don't think that's a good idea." I thought he was joking, because he rarely denies me ANYTHING. ("Hey darling, can I buy a $600 elliptical? I know we're trying to pay aggressively into the mortgage right now, but it's going to be a long winter." "Baby, you do what you need to do.") So I asked, "Are you actually forbidding me to get a fish?" He said, "Well, you cry a lot right now, and fish don't live very long." Shucks, he has a point! ;D

And amikety, I missed that you were from Bing. We spent a night there on our move trip (drove from Oklahoma to Quebec over the course of a week). I have a dear friend who lives there. I met her on the same dating/socializing website where I met my husband, and she was actually the first one to predict that he and I would get married. Small world, eh?

That is funny. I once met a guy on Yahoo Chat in a chatroom that knew one of my aunts and uncles! :o So weird, right!

I once had a Zebra Danio live for two years, so sometimes fish do live a long time ;)

I'm also allergic to cats, but I have one. I have to brush her 2-3 times a week and then my allergies are okay.

This is a great thread and I could write a book about my paranoia! +1 to Iay for starting it.

To be honest, I was pretty much an ostrich with my head stuck in the sand about this process until I found this forum and then I became paranoid about EVERYTHING. I was so proud of our application until I started reading the thread about how people put their applications together and all of the supporting documentation they sent in. The size of them scared me the most! All of a sudden the application that I poured my time, energy, heart, and soul into seemed like nothing in comparison to theirs. I beat myself up for a long time that I hadn't found this forum until AFTER I submitted the application.

I can't wait to read what others have to say about this topic! I'm sure I'll be laughing and agreeing with a lot of the posts.

It is like you exactly explained my feeling!! I was the same! I was so sure I did the perfect job with my application. I was proud. And after reading the topics here I was so paranoid about my application! I thought I did so many things not as well as others and they will reject our application. Fortunately that wasn't true :D

Yea, we all have different cases, and for sure different VOs that will scrutinize our apps. Anyway, as long as you have everything in the checklist and you provide quality proofs of genuine relationship, you will be ok :D I got scared of 11kgs (the heaviest I heard so far) app, mine was a little tiny 1 kg package. ;D ;D ;D

And in two years, I will be over this crying all the time thing...right? RIGHT?!?!?!?!?!? :'( I did manage to kill a plant, though, so he kinda has a point. He thought I'd cry about Carl (my plant) dying, but I managed to shrug that one off as, "Carl obviously didn't have a strong will to live."

That wouldn't work for us. He's mildly allergic to dogs, sniffles/congestion/watery eyes. Cats affect his lungs badly. If he sleeps in an environment where there have been cats, he awakens with asthma-like symptoms, coughing, wheezing, difficulty catching his breath. No kitties for us, which is a shame, because we both like them. I don't really want a dog. I like them, but they're too much hassle. It gets COLD here, and I don't want to ever experience a dog with an upset tummy in the middle of the night needing to go out every 15 minutes in -35° weather!

Same here!! I'm sure they are going to reject our application for some reason!!! :P
Maybe I didn't write our story in the right way and they think there is something weird.. OR maybe after getting negative answer to my extension to working holiday visa (not my fault.. I guess they don't usually even extend those but I gave it a try) they are going to think I'm not a good person to get PR.. I'm going CRAZY here!! :D ;)

I know!! 11 kg?!!! mine was only 1 lb :P
Seriously! I had so much more proof I could send but I didn't think a VO would read and check all of those! So I just sent a selection of chats and phone calls, etc.

It's all good!! ;)
I was actually thinking of sending more proofs together with my PPR. I don't know if it's a good idea or not.

And yes, still paranoid indeed. :P

I think it's already decided at PPR :P

Oh is it? I heard of people getting an interview/additional docs after PPR that's why I thought of sending more proofs. But yea, whatever. Lol

I guess it does depend on the VO. Some request PP before approval. I was thinking about my VO. PPR is one of the last steps.

Yea totally depends on the VO.
Just hoping they'll let me know what else they need during the PPR so i can send them all together than doing another file transfer.

Anyway, I don't think I'll hear any updates in the next 5-8 months.
Just hoping for the best now. :)
