Animals won't care about your French, and there are a lot fewer words needed, plus you can always win them over with.... treats!!!

Not true! Even the dogs here make fun of my french. I was riding my bike, and saw a friendly looking little dog on a porch as I pedaled by. I said as I passed, "Bonjour chien!" He titled his head so hard at me in puzzlement that it's a wonder he didn't break his little dog neck. I could almost hear him saying, "QUOI?!?!?!"

Crack me up! But that's when the treats kick in. Le chien would not quibble over your accent if you showed him some steak from Okie steakhouse! Yes, just like a husband. :-*

I was so nervous about the entire wedding, I couldn't even look at the sponsorship stuff until we were married. That's when I learned awesome things like FBI clearance takes over a month to get! ;) Ah, live and learn. Next time I get sponsored by my Canadian spouse, I'll know it all :P :P :P JK JK!!!!

I did the same thing. Only I decided to get the meds done first, then looked at the FBI clearance, then needed to get my sweetie to get up to date on his taxes. That's why I and CIC share responsibility for the medical redo.

From NY myself and crave bagels and Les's thin crust pizza, Carvel ice cream, NY cheese cake, Philly cheesesteak, and an entire deli! Ohh bay scallops, Long Island duck and Entenmann's crumbcake. Drat now I'll be thinking about this all day.

Hahahah! My husband was behind on his taxes too! He hadn't bothered to file for 2011! When he did, he got a pleasant surprise - $200 back! I told him he should give it to me because I prompted him to file. He just chuckled and walked away :P

My family is from upstate (Binghamton area) and I've spent a considerable amount of my childhood up there...... real NY pizza sounds so yummy right now. My grandma's village was one of the top villages to visit in the country (Owego - not Oswego).... and they had some awesome pizza/Italian joints..... Nom nom nom.

Long Island girl here. Way out where they keep the potato farms, sod farms, vineyards and those pesky city people in the summer time. Les's is just a little pizza joint from my childhood home. Man it was good. I have found a pretty decent little pizza place here, but not like Les's! You probably can't tell, but I don't have the traditional Long Island accent... nobody believes I was born and raised there.

Okay...the "lighter" side has me stressing again, lol! My (administratively retarded) husband hasn't filed his 2011 taxes yet. ::) *sigh* I have all of his documentation pulled together for him, but he has to request his 2011 T4.

Don't worry T4's are quick to get. It is getting the husband to the paperwork that is the tricky bit. My husband knows he is partly responsible for having to redo the medicals... so he didn't complain about paying for them again. We don't talk about it, but he knows, I know he knows.....

Will him not having filed in 2011 cause a problem with his sponsorship? I didn't even think of the two as related. He's on leave through the end of next week, and was going to follow up when he went back (and getting them may take a little while, because of "military efficiency" and having to wait until the folks in the orderly room feel like helping him).

No it didn't with mine and hubby was two years behind. He didn't owe anything to the government and in fact was owed a sizable refund.....

Whew, okay. Thanks! He shouldn't owe anything, he just didn't file. And he's a federal employee, so they have to know that, if he does somehow end up owing anything, they'll get their money.

Now that my heart rate is returning to normal, I suppose it's time to go exercise. TRYING to pull out of this cycle of depression by returning to daily cardio. Fourth day in a row. Best streak in a while. Have some new music on my iPhone, songs my sister told me to download. Some of the three thousand kilometres between us seem fall away when I rock out to "her" music while I work out. The day that PR card is in my hand, plastic still warm, I'm booking a trip. I miss the hell out of that woman! (Among many other people.)

Great two important steps to work through depression. Depression... mostly for me... keeping moving and keeping in contact is the key. (I'm not talking about the chronic biological depression people get, I mean the regular old, life is hard depression.)
I really should be walking every morning... need to get an English speaking dog.
