Awww that's kind of my plan before too. We got married in October 2012 and everything's pretty much ready in November except for the Marriage Certificate. We almost got tempted to send the app without it but we tried to extend our patience. It turned out that the Marriage Certificate did not arrive til last week of January, and my husband still needs to mail everything to me, so here we are, February batch it is!! :D

We were the same, except a month earlier (married September, filed January) and we had to wait on my FBI clearance.

I was so nervous about the entire wedding, I couldn't even look at the sponsorship stuff until we were married. That's when I learned awesome things like FBI clearance takes over a month to get! ;) Ah, live and learn. Next time I get sponsored by my Canadian spouse, I'll know it all :P :P :P JK JK!!!!

I know I wanted to wait but my hubby taught it was better to send it now!!! Oh well let's see!!! My package got delivered this morning by Canada Post!!! OMG!!! now it really has begun!!!

All the best!! I hope you get your AOR and SA soon :)

Yes, the waiting game officially started for you ;)

On a happy note today...a francophone gentleman called me on the phone, and I was able to understand him and speak to him in french! Unfortunately, the reason was because he sounded European, not Québecois, haha, but just as my ear went from absolutely ZERO french (didn't even sound like a language to me, just noise) to "can sorta understand a little french now," I'm sure it'll tune itself to the Québecois accent as I learn more.

Oh I have a terrible husband too when it comes to checking email. And yes, I had to unsubscribe to a lot of sites too.
I know I've said it somewhere here, but whenever I get a personal message from someone here in the forum, the email sender would be like "Canada Immigration Forum" and the quick view will only show "Canada Immigration". My heart jumps every time I see this, especially when I was still waiting for my AOR, I didn't have an idea how CIC email looks like.

LOL this def happened to me too! :P

I have to share with you guys what happened to me last week. I got home from work and on the counter was this huge Manila envelope obviously full of paper from CIC. I was approved as a sponsor in September.. there's no way they should be sending anything to my house in Canada. I was shaking while I opened it, nearly had a heart attack thinking of every possible scenario. It turned out it was CIC's guidebook to Citizenship, which I ordered online. oops!

I get stupidly nervous anytime I see a recycled brown envelope like CIC uses.

BMO Bank of Montreal uses them too...... GGRRRRR! >:(

I kinda hate most kids, but maybe there's an animal shelter or something that could use the help. I used to volunteer at the animal shelter some back in the states.

Animals won't care about your French, and there are a lot fewer words needed, plus you can always win them over with.... treats!!!

I would swear my partner's dog understood French as a puppy. She's very smart :o3 But when I got back after 9 months she only understood Bisayan.

hahaha I'm the same - throwing to the dogs anything that arrives in a white envelope and rabidly pouncing on the brown ones.

The last brown envelope disappointment was our new insurance documents that arrived last week.

>:(

Hahahahaha! I can just picturing you inching toward the envelope, thinking, "No, no, NO!!!!!!!!!!!" And to think, you did it to YOURSELF! :D
