Can you please tell me that what is exactly is bring forward time and is it case specific or a general timeline set universally ?
Thanks

The Bring Forward date on any file is a way to organise and track documents need to be review by visa officers. All paperwork relevant to a specific day is placed in a file ready to bring out on that day. Usually when physical files arrive at the visa offices they get 3-4 months of BFD on them then store somewhere. These files will be collected by an administrator officer on the eve of their reviews so that the next morning they will be ready when visa offices need to work on them.

Thank you for posting this, it's really helpful.

I've got 3 lines on ecas

Application received July 27, 2015
Starting processing October 6, 2015
Medical Results have been received

I'm confused about whether my file is actually in process (London VO)

Hi Eagle,

Just thought I'd update the thread - my eCAS changed to Decision Made last week, so it seems that the new 'In Process' was accurate.

We hadn't heard anything off CIC since my file was transferred to London and this came as a nice surprise. We thought our application to be non-routine because I have kids from a previous relationship included in the application. Therefore we expected our processing time would be at least 12 months, not 4 months from start to finish!

Thank you for your hard work on here and best wishes to everyone else applying.

Beaverdiva,

I am proud of you and congratulations. I am happy that I could be a help when you needed that. As days go by I start getting tired to answer questions on this thread. You guys will be the ones to continue helping others when I retire from this thread. Next year will be bring a bit change in how I respond to questions until I zoom out of this forum. For now I am still committed to help people around the world as I was in October when I first created this thread.

Hi Eagle,

I understand that background checks are done before re-medicals from one of your post.So can you tell me what happens after re-medicals?Is there any chance of getting interview call after remedicals? Our file went into 'In Process' on August,2015 and remedical was done on Aug 17,2015

Hello jushope4,

Yes background checks are done before re-medical. Maybe I forgot to mention this in my previous post. When CIC request PRR and re-medical at the same time, you should know that BGC is over and visa will be issued once medical results come from RMO. Now there is a case whereby PA decide to do his re-medicals by himself or herself, in that case I will not bank the statement that BGC is over because CIC did not initiate the re-medical process. But you need to request your GCMS to clear the doubt of the interview since I don't know much about your file.

Bless you, Eagle no wonder you're tired. I have read this thread periodically and I've often wondered how you cope with the amount of requests for information. You give so much of your time, you deserve the break!

Best wishes and try to take it easy :D

Thanks Beaverdiva, I value people than things that is why I give out a lot instead of receiving. But time will come you will be among the people who need to devote yourself for other people too.

Hi Eagle,

Just a quick question for you if you don't mind. I have been in process since Oct 9 and I received a generic email on Oct 23. I have since not heard anything and there has been no contact from CIC since. Do you think this is a cause for concern?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi mgrandolin,

What kind of documents request did you receive?

It was just the generic email requesting police certificate If I had not sent it already, medicals if they weren't done, etc.

Then I don't see anything wrong in your case. You should order your GCMS notes if you have not done so because your timeline looks a little bit mature. By February 2016 your file should be entered in the final stage of its process such as visa if it is a routine case.

Hi Eagle333. Sorry I have one more question, my wife is with me on TRV from last week. Should I get her address and phone number changed on ECAS as her old Indian number is not in service anymore. She got a Canadian number. Do I have to change both Address and Phone or only phone would be good. Thanks again.
