Hello,

I just want to express my frustration right now with the OINP PT delay. I guess they are going to start sending PT's on 2017 :(

No that is wrong. I got the inside info from a high ranking officer and the minimum CRS for OINP would be 499.

NB: kryt0n & DelPiero07 can ask their hamsters if I'm wrong.

i got an insider tip from the minister himself that ONIP will only be issued to people who have below 250 points since they believe that they want to give everyone a fair chance regardless of color, sex, race or brain.

My pussy cat agreed to it too.

But I have decided to keep the CRS score at 400 points for OINP PT.

What you are saying doesnt make any sense. If OINP's score from 500 and above, and cut off for PR are expected to go lower than previous rounds, who would need OINP? no one :)

Hope that makes sense to you, please stop just assuming numbers out of thin air.

Thanks

well said!!common sense ;)

I think its fair to assume that ONIP will only happen in January 2017. No 2017 quota announcement yet. No news about the new rules or process. The infamous Nov 25th is here which many people we were waiting for and hoping. Massive backlogs still remaining...

January 2017!

IRCC has picked candidates from the pool with a minimum CRS of 450. OINP will set its bar somewhere below the reach of federal cutoffs. Simple logic, otherwise who will apply for OINP?

This simple logic ignores possibility that Ontario will stop sending invitations to anyone who have certain EE score, rather they may make it as other provincial programs. Or they may change requirements (i.e. adding strong Ontario ties proof requirement). Who knows.

Changing or adding additional eligibility criteria (other than CRS points) is very much possible (like requirement for strong ties to the province), but here, the main topic is the minimum CRS cutoff OINP might set for its next intake. Anyways, only the time will tell what OINP finally comes up with. :)
