I came with some additional document requirement which are very strange.

The req. are stated below.

1. "If you not employed, please provide information/ documentation in support of your intention to reside in Ontario such as evidence of Ontario Labour Market Research, employment prospects for jobs related to your experience, job search/leads, any communications with employers in Ontario with potential job offers/ opportunities related to your professional background and experience."

2. Evidence of recent job search and/employment in Ontario

What should be need to show them in this case? I applied to some of the company through Job bank and I did not get any reply. Right now, I am unemployed.

Please help me on this.
From the time you submitted your application, scan or printout the job application emails to all companies where you applied. If you have not done that, then now kindly apply for atleast 3 to 4 jobs in Ontario matching your NOC Code via job bank and then provide OINP these emails that you are still searching for employment in Ontario. This will serve as a good evidence of your job search.

Accept Alberta and finish the federal part. That way you will be done faster. There is no where written in stone that you have to stay there at all cost. If you cannot support yourself there well in the future you can still move. When it comes to Ontario, as they see your ties to Alberta, they might even reject you.
Isn't that discrimination against people who are already adapted to life in Canada?

To be fair, arent they the better candidates than candidates who hasnt even left their home country before?

Why would OINP favour FSW with fewer Canadian visits/connections over CEC from other provinces? This is absurd.

They are just making sure of his intentions to reside in ON. for FSW they are sure everyone will settle in ON.

I understand your frustration and agree somewhat with you... But the logic is simple, you have a person who is happily working in Alberta and gets a NoM from OINP, why would he move is he's happy in Alberta?

FSW are not in Canada, given the PR they WILL move to Canada so why not try your luck initially in the Province that nominated you?

Although I have no source or data to back this up I'd wager that historically CEC from other provinces are less likely to move to Ontario after a NoM than FSW folk, so to me that would explain why the preference for FSW over CEC from other provinces...

It's not about being "better". It's about fairness & equality. That's a reason refugees are accepted with open arms and applicants from UK/France are not spared from IELTS/TEF exam.

No, it isn't. Can you explain how you arrived at "discrimination"?

To be fair, arent they the better candidates than candidates who hasnt even left their home country before?

Not entirely. "Better" is very subjective. What do you mean by "better" here? What is the context?

Why would OINP favour FSW with fewer Canadian visits/connections over CEC from other provinces? This is absurd.

For instance, you are employed in Vancouver, BC. You have a job there and you apply to OINP for a nomination. All OINP is looking for is a guarantee that you will move to ON if and when a nomination is issued (and you don't use it as a backdoor just to get PR and keep working in BC). The thought process is pretty natural here, isn't it? This guy is employed in BC but has applied for OINP. Why might that be? Since you are already in Canada, they expect you to show some ties to the province, visits etc.

Even FSW applicants are asked for a settlement plan. If you think there is inequality and bias here, it is all in your head.

I sent my OINP application package on Jan 21st but I haven't been contacted for additional docs.
I see a few folks in here who sent their application package later than that who have already have been contacted for additional docs by OINP.
Should I worry?

And that's why CEC or Inland FSW is simpler and tends to move quicker. They rarely call outside Canada/US... So much more can be accomplished with a simple call than asking for dozens of documents...

Hi all, I have got add request on 29th Oct by case officer RL. I have submitted docs on 7th of Nov. After that I have not received any communication from them. When I called OINP they said my application is on decision phase but I have not received any e-mail. I don't know what's going on.
