Sent my OINP application in mid Jan, received AOR in August
My work permit is expiring in mid of December

If i receive ITA under CEC in next draw, can i still keep both application running simultaneously

I don't want to withdraw my PNP application since I have already paid the fee for it and once I am confident enough that all is going well with CEC, I can withdraw PNP application later at that time

Are there any complications that may be caused by applying under two different categories simultaneously ?

Please advise

Hopefully you will receive an ITA well before that. You can keep your PNP application , incase you receive ITA for your CRS score directly from IRCC you may just inform them to cancel it. Cheers and all the best!

What is confusing me is that there is no clear pattern. The last few Nov applicants are all done. For Dec, the scatter is very wide and some March people are getting addn. docs requests. I don't understand the logic of it all.. Even if diff. files were assigned to diff. officers, there should be some method to the madness..

I am in difficult situation here guys please help me out , my IELTS will expire on 1st November 2016 and due to some circumstances and unavailability of any test date I cant write my exam till 29th October my consultants are saying that my profile will expire on 1 Nov and will be out of pool and hence I wont be able to receive nomination if I dont update my IELTS by 1st Nov. Is this the end of the road for me ? I was hoping to get my nomination next month as I received my AOR in mid July I am an early Jan applicant.

Would really appreciate if someone could help me out here. :'( :'(

Your best hope would be if OINP gives you a nomination before the next draw and you can submit all the necessary docs before 1st November (however, that's almost nearly impossible)

The next option I can think of is that you need to let your current profile expire and recreate one more after you get your new IELTS results. Then you can link the profile to the old one and let OINP know. The problem is if OINP asks for additional docs sometime in November (when you haven't received the IELTS results yet). Plus as per OINP requirements, you need to let them know if your CRS goes below 400 (which it will if your IELTS expires).

Is there no way to get a earlier appointment for IELTS? another test center or another city or something?

This will probably be avoided once they move to the new online system. until then they are working like a post office no idea where stuff gets lost

Guess is that, OINP might process all 2016 applications. And for 2017, they might follow the same pattern(priority) as for Nov, Dec 2016.

No I tried the Exam only is on 29 Oct, there is no exam before that. If I give my exam on 29th I'll get my result on 14-15th so if in between OINP does not require any documents from my end then can I just link everything to the new profile ? Im sorry but I really need to understand all the cases to figure out what to do and what are the risks.

if you receive an ITA and accepted it, your profile won't be visible anymore for OINP to nominate you, so it won't happen like that, you won't get the best of both worlds

Technically, you need to inform them if your CRS falls below 400. They also have access to your EE profile, so they can check at any time. I am fairly sure when they are verifying your documents, they will have a look at your EE profile to verify that all the documents match what you have put there. So if your profile becomes ineligible at that time, they will take action on that.

To be honest I hope others can give some input on this. I cannot see a proper way out of it. Your profile will be out of action for a good 15-20 days. I am fairly certain this is not acceptable for OINP.

I suppose if you are willing to risk it, the best thing to do would be to wait till you get your new results, create a new EE profile and link it to the old one. You can then inform OINP of the same. And during this time pray really hard that they dont look at your profile, nor do they notice the 15 day gap between the expiry of your old IELTS and the result of the new one.
