OH Rod, that's very bad news! I am so so so sorry! :(
What do you mean by they didn't receive it? Are you talking about the PR application to IRCC? you didn't get AR?
I would tell you to write to them both, OINP and IRCC and see what they say! There should be lot of persons with the same problem, and I hope they are having some kind of consideration with this.
Hey Chivinas thank you. I have the AR, but nothing else. I'm thinking of try a consultant.

Thank you,

Rod

Hey guys/gals, unfortunately I just lost my job today because of the COVID-19. I got nominated almost 6 months ago and my process was not marked as "received" by them yet. Anyone knows what I have to do? Will my process be cancelled? I'm really disappointed with everything.
Thank you
Rod
So sorry to hear that @rodgarcialima. Since COVID started I've been wondering what would be OINP approach to this kind of situation. I really hope they understand this an unprecedented situation and are more flexible with the nomination's conditions.

Also, It sounds like a lot of time for IRCC to send AOR. When did you submit your PR package?

Keep us posted! Wishing you the best.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. It's a very difficult time to everybody, and on top of everything our expectations around the immigration process are extremely stressfull.
I think it's a good idea to check with an specialist. That said, I also want to believe that Canada might take a different approach to the processes because of COVID-19.
Wishing you all the best!

Hey all, I want your opinion.

My medicals are showing the message of analyzing the results since march 17, I though they'd send the request, but they never did.
It makes no sense to me that it's marked as analyzing though... Should I send a message and ask about it, or just sit and wait as usual?
What are your thoughts about it?

Let's keep it positive, we got this!

Yesterday I read that immigration officers are working from home. Beyond that, in Immitracker no update appears for any stage of the processes and in any of the steams, since March 13. So, I don't know what are they doing!?
It is not a bad idea that you send an email asking. I got the answer today about the change of name of my company, therefore at least they are answering emails...

OINP has a long update today.

https://www.ontario.ca/page/2020-ontario-immigrant-nominee-program-updates

Related to Employer Job Offer: Foreign worker stream, it answers the question a lot of people asking here.
1- The program will reach out to each and every employer which is supporting the current applicants, to confirm that the job offers are still valid.
2- The nominates were conditional, mean employees have to remain working under the job offers until the PR was issued.

So, I think if you're lay-off even when after got the nominate, the nominate will be canceled.
(That's my understanding after reading, please correct me if I'm wrong, I would like to know about this as well).

This is my understanding as well, I believe they will also check with Employers to ensure they still meet nomination requirements.

That's very harsh in times like this...

Basically they've said that

- Job loss - loose the nomination + 90 days to get another job in the same terms and pay the fees again

- Lay-off -hold the application for a period of up to 90 days / may ask for supplementary information from employers with respect to such temporary layoffs at a future date

I'm hoping for the best outcome to everyone in this group, since we are all in this together from the beginning.

Yeah, that's a fair assessment but remember that Canada's immigration plan is to attract young, educated, skilled workers. PNP pathways are a way for those of us that don't necessarily meet the requirements of the above and aren't able to compete points wise via Express Entry, they need to have some non-biased way to filter people out because at the end of the day, not everyone who wants to immigrate can so still requiring the job offer is a reasonable way of making that decision.

Additionally, Ontario and particularly Toronto is a very expensive place to live and having people show up with no job in a society that prioritizes Canadian PR/Citizen on employment applications coupled with the current economic landscape with potentially limited to no economic support, it makes sense.

It's not great for us, but Canada has to look after it's own first and there's only so many nominations to go around.

I agree with everything you've said... I can't help thinking about everybody that won't get a second chance at immigration bc of this situation, either because they might loose the nomination or don't have enough time (WP concerned) to re-apply.

Well, in the end we all have to follow our destiny and keep our hopes high.

On the bright side, they still allow 90 days to look for a new job (consider this is extremely hard right now) or work out a deal with employers for temporary lay-off terms.
Some employers want to completely lay-off so their employees can receive severance packages as well as apply for benefits, but if you just want to temporary lay-off, you can talk directly to your employer.

If the economy still falling like this in the next 90 days, even the Canadians are in big trouble, not just us Foreign Workers.
