This is OINP's official position on applications that could be prioritized:

"There are exceptional circumstances in which the OINP will prioritize nominee applications when the applicant’s legal status in Canada is due to expire within 90 days (such as international students and temporary foreign workers).

The OINP will make every effort to identify those applications in the current inventory where an applicant’s legal status in Canada is at risk of expiring. They will be processed first."

On the strength of this, it's ridiculous for anyone to arrive at the conclusion that OINP is presently processing ALL CEC-inland applications. It's even more ridiculous to speculate on a priority order, without any reference to hard facts. For now, what is clear is that OINP is processing the applications of people whose legal status in Canada is at the risk of expiring within 90 days, just as they said!

AOR is sent via email. Currently, AORs are being sent to December 2015 applicants.

Can anyone confirm what is the rule on staying in the province you have got nominated to? Is there a mandatory stay in that province for a specific amount of years to be eligible for citizenship or can one stay anywhere? and if so after how much time of stay in that province?

Canadian Charter or the Constitution Act, 1982, provides permanent residents and Canadian citizens with the right to live and work in any province in Canada. Having said that, when a province takes the pain to nominate you (based on the requirement in that province), it is more of a moral obligation than a legal one to stay and work in the province. Some provinces state that you have to stay for at least 2 years in that province, but it cannot be legally enforced.

Based on the current trend, You can expect to receive AOR 120-140 days after your application package has been delivered to OINP. In the AOR letter you will be asked to submit the duplicate copy of your ECA report to OINP, if you have already done that, you can ignore it. Post AOR, your file will be assessed by an officer and you can expect to hear their decision on your file within 90 days post AOR.
