AOR October 14th 2020
June 1 st 2021 , I received a letter in my CIC account for providing proof of my biometrics. I paid $85 and submitted the receipt with a webform requesting a BIL , its been 2 weeks i have not received any kind of update from IRCC. Unfortunately the letter said i need to provide them proof of biometrics in 30 days. Very upsetting as i am thinking my file will be returned if i dont provide this. Everything else in the profile has been approved. @legalfalcon could you please help to understand the scenario.
CEC? A friend of mine is having an issue with the update of her biometrics also. She is FSW-O though

Hello Guys,
My details:
Principle CEC applicant and Spouse (Outland)
AOR 28th Oct 2020
All stages passed when I last checked with IRCC over the phone
Ordered GCMS 1 month back still waiting

I am the principal applicant and my wife is in India (Outland). When I had last checked with IRCC on May 21, my all stages have been passed.
I and my wife already have a valid work permit till 2023 and her TRV also stamped. She was here in Vancouver but last year went to India for her studies and since then she is in India, giving her final paper. Hope she will be back on August 21.

Question:
1. Since she has a valid work permit and TRV, Can she travel to Canada? If yes Should I need to apply for her travel exemption now on a work permit or Should I wait for my COPR and then apply?
2. Any guess when I would get my PPR email? I think Its been 2 weeks since my all stages have been passed.

Thanks :)

As long as you have sent the payment receipt, that is what matters. You can call IRCC and enquire.

Did you claim points for arranged offer of employment?

Hi @legalfalcon even though i pass the background and eligibility? thanks
If you claimed points for arranged employment, one of the conditions was that the offer would be "for at least one year after [IRCC] issue(s) your permanent resident visa." If you leave your job, then the "year after clause will also go away" as the employer who gave you that undertaking will withdraw the offer, and thus you will lose the points.

So far IRCC has not issued any circulars or policy in this regard. As soon as your change your job, and if your application is still in progress, you have to inform IRCC, and your offer of arranged employment will be subject to verification, even if your eligibility is passed.

There is no issue if you take vacations. You do not even have to inform IRCC about it.

@legalfalcon Hi I would like to know your take on FSW Inland applicants. It's been months since we have heard any news , wondering what is difference between CEC and FSW - Inland applicant. I understand that both different categories and both are exempted from travel restrictions. Ideally both applications should get processed BUT only CEC applications are getting processed at the moment. Can you please share your thoughts on this topic.

There is no difference and IRCC is continuing to send decisions on FSW and CEC inland applications, but the progress is slow.
