Hello everyone, my wife and I applied on October 23th, our file is currently in London UK but my local mp told me that they were close because of covid lockdown. we are missing medical exam and the background check ( I think after that it's passport request but I am not sure ) anyone is in the same boat as me?

I am permanent resident in Canada
My husband is in India and we applied on 10 oct 2019 and receive file number on 23 nov 2019 and biometric and medical done 28 nov 2019 and file transfer to Delhi visa office on 10 December 2019 and after that we receive last update on Jan 12 2021 that interview required and still waiting for another update about when it will be.
IS THERE ANYONE HERE WHOS FILE IS IN DELHI FROM DEC 2019.

Can someone please advise as what is the standard processing time to complete the "Background Check" of the principal applicant?

The principal applicant has resided throughout his life in just one country, which is her country of origin.

it seems to me like the gap between pre arrival and DM can be between Same Day up to 6 month for some people! Hopefully we are part of the lucky pack

Hey guys,

I am a permanent resident.

Applied for my wife back in October 2019

got medical and biometrics approval in Jan 2020 and they asked for more wedding pictures in March 2020 which we provided right away.

Haven’t heard anything since March 2020. My wife recently came to Canada on a visitor visa before the travel restrictions.

Anyone know why it’s taking so long. We asked for GCM notes in august 2020 and there were no notes after March 2020
