Hi,
My AOR- 30 October 2019 ( my wife primary applicant)
PPR-18 Jan 2020 ( Primary applicant and single)( we did not sent passport for further process and informed ircc about marriage plan)
Marriage- 10th Feb 2020
Spouse added- 15 March 2020
Husband( Myself)- Biometrics added 2nd march 2021 and medical- 14 March 2021
After that yesterday ( 10th Jan 2022)- background status changed to- Not Applicable.

Is background status changed to " Not applicable " is any major sign of good news for both of us?

Regards,

Hi @legalfalcon sir,
I have few small queries, why LVOs like NDVO are not sending any PPR while Ottawa and Sydney are continuously releasing PPRs?
My AOR is oct 2019 and as per GCMS notes my application was approved in March 2020 and it has been almost 2 years without single update on my application not even re-medical or extension of medical. File is untouched since march 2020 as per latest GCMS notes. Under these circumstances do you think mandamus might be helpful in my case?

Mandamus is a judicial remedy and a lawyer will have to evaluate your case to provide you with an opinion on whether it would be the right approach for your case.

Lately, a lot of people have been discussing the mandamus without knowing what it really is.

Hi @legalfalcon

As per my GCMS Notes, dated Oct' 2021 ..........
Eligibility+Criminality+Medicals - all are passed.
Info-Sharing + RPRF -
Complete
Required Funds - Met
Security - Not Started
As per GCMS Recommendations
(Oct'2021) - Ready to Finalize

I got a GU on 8th Jan'22, after that, my background status changed from, “We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information." TO "Not Applicable." What does it mean? IP2 complete.

Hi @legalfalcon
Our AOR was October 2019
We got our medical extended by Nov 13
We got ADR on December 31 (cv- military service (obligatory in our country)- and schedule A)
January 4, they confirmed the receipt of the documents and said under reviewing. How long does it usually take to finalize the application?
TIA

Currently, with the delays, no one can predict. You will have to see if all stages are passed. Usually, Sch A is asked before the security screening is initiated.

BGC includes Criminality, which is done early in the processing, and security, which usually is the last stage. This is why the BGC status changes twice.

If your BGC has changed to NA, then most likely it is awaiting Security screening.

@Ashruu given your circumstances, it is best to inform IRCC of your situation if you are not ready to travel. the COPR will be issued till the time your medical exam is valid, so please consider the situation accordingly.

For #5, you can inform ircc with a letter of explanation itself.

All the best!
