I sent a letter from my mother saying we could live at her house indefinitely in the original application.

For additional documents I sent OHIP letters for my son and I, as it takes 3 months to qualify.

I sent a bank statement, proof of health insurance that I had purchased for my wife and son.

I don’t know what else to send. I don’t have my name on any lease. I don’t have a local employer.

I don’t get it. We are already here. How can I prove I plan to be here any more than by actually being here?

Frustrating.

Oh and I was approved as a sponsor months ago.

How did you submit your documents? Upload or email?

I sent mine by email and there has been no update at all on ECAS or GCKey.

I literally spammed them. Used the two options in the e-mail and gckey. Got a response fast.

I received that email too. I didn't receive the biometrics in ECAS. Seemingly after you link your account to GCKEY, updates migrate to GCKEY (Where my wife notified to do biometrics).

Decision made most of the time is a good news. After I called IRCC they told me wait a week and the responsible agent for your case would email the sponsorship approval. To call IRCC, just call 1-888-242-2100 then choose options 2-1-1-0

- we got the SA on Feb 17 and the biometrics request.
- Feb 18 we received an email that It was sent to local office
- Updates states that they started processing the application on Feb 27
but since then its been silence that we didn't even get the medical request!!

Our application was received in Sydney on Oct 3rd... does anyone know how long until we get any notification?

Same for us. Application was sent to local VO on Feb. 22, no medical request yet..

I think I should be clearer. I am the sponsor. I didn't receive any email. I guess after you link the application to GCKEY system, they do not contact the Sponsor anymore.

They do, but the Principal Applicant is the one that gets the application steps (Medical, biometrics, interview) to complete.

Yeah it just says 12 months to process which we already knew.

Same thoughts. It doesn’t provide much of a help since it’s based on “generic” timeline (approx 12 months)
