The questions for my husband’s landing interview were very simple - just asking about any criminal charges, dependants, etc.

Yes, they allowed phones, etc. :)
Congrats. We sent two pr pictures inside the application. So i heard that they're asking more pr photos on landing interview. Is that true?

I landed yesterday at the IRCC office in Fredericton, NB. I was able to present myself without an appointment, apparently it's something new some offices are doing. Either way, I am now officially a permanent resident. Thank you and congrats to all and good luck to those still waiting! :) I may see some of you again when it comes to citizenship time!

Guys! I’ve got DM on both sides on ecas last night. But the automated service says they’re still reviewing our eligibility and bgc.
Is this normal?
I haven’t heard anything from my representative.

Totally normal! I received my landing interview letter already, and gckey still shows that they’re reviewing eligibility/bgc.
Congratulations!! Now you just have to wait for the email from your local office :D

My husband had his landing interview today! Finally, we’re done.

We had a bit of a wait (we are in Winnipeg), but the interview itself was very quick and painless. They asked the following things:

  • Have you ever committed a crime?
  • Have you ever been denied entry to Canada?
  • Have you ever been forced to leave Canada?
  • Do you have any children?

She also asked where my husband was currently working and about how we met/the story of our relationship.

I honestly don’t know what I would have done without this forum. Good luck to you all, and all the best in the future!

:)
Congrats
