What a new year surprise by cic, I checked my case status this morning and it went into "in process"

Application delivered - October 20, 2014
AOR by email - December 22, 2014
Ecase status "received" - December 24, 2014
Ecase status "in process" - January 1st, 2015

Anyone knows what is the next step now? Would I be receiving test invitation letter in an email or through regular mail? And also my local office is calgary, so I don't expect it within next month but hopefully will come within next 3 months.

I am now officially "In Process" as of 30 December 2014. What a great way to bring in 2015! (App received in Sydney on 23 October 2014)

I guess it will be Vancouver, because I am in the lower mainland of BC. Not sure how that all works

Happy New Year everyone!
My eCAS is now updated to state that my file was transferred to the Halifax office on December 23, 2014, and that the Halifax office will contact me.
I am very impressed with the speed with which CIC is processing things so far!

My E-CAS updated again today to say that my file was transferred to my local office on December 30, 2014.

Just checked.
File been transferred to local office on dec 31 2014.

Local is winnipeg.

Just want to confirm, the next step is test invitation? (assuming no more problems). Anyone knows how long that would be?

Hi Guys, I have submitted citizenship application for myself and my son (8 years old). My wife will be applying after her planned travel (4 weeks) this year.

On the day of test do i need to take my kid to the immigration office as well or just his documents.

Appreciate your comments.

From what I have seen, the only people able to see the transfer in E-CAS are those who have received an E-mail AOR (mine says it was transferred to the Citizenship Vancouver office). If you got a paper AOR in the mail, I dont think they will update E-CAS to show when the transfer takes place. I think under the old system, if the received line disappeared, it meant the file was transferred.

Did you received a regular AOR - like mail, or the email AOR? What local office you refer to?

Hi, my package was received on October 20th but still there is not update. Should I be worried? I live in Toronto.
