Oath : September 5th 2014

All in all, a few days short of the 11 months mark!

I live in Toronto (Etobicoke), ON. Haven't heard a peep after this. I called CIC and they said application is still in process. I will need to find out if my file has been sent to local office as yet.

I received an invitation, today, to write the Citizenship test on Sept 19 in Mississauga. However, the CIC website has not been updated to reflect the changes.

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 15, 2013.

4. We sent you a notice on August 16, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on September 19, 2014 at 12:45 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Here is my timeline. My local office is Montreal

Mailed citizenship application: Nov 05, 2013
Application received at CIC (signature): Nov 08, 2013
In process (eCas): 29-Jan-2014
AOR/Booklet received: 17-Feb-2014
Local office transfer: 02-June-2014

And nothing after! When I call CIC they just tell me that everything looks normal and it could take up to 24 months before I get a test date!

When I submitted my documents I included copy of passports, stamp pages, employment letter and a cover letter. I applied for me and my wife (Family Application).

Did you do anything specific to make your process faster?

Hi Hadal!

No, I did not do anything special. I submitted only required documents and nothing more. I was calling CIC once a month for new. That`s all.
