Hello guys!
My wife is a filipino and i started the process to sponsor her to live in Canada. We got the approval from CIC, but we dont know what to do next. The Officer from CIC told me on the phone that next my wife should pass the medical exam and send the results to Manila visa office. Can anyone explain how this medical checkup is done, where to go and pass it, and should we wait for a letter to know when to pass it, or we can pass it any time and send the results to the embassy ?

Just a little specific help here.

Here is the list of CIC Medical Examiners. http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medicalinfo.aspx?CountryID=2009&CountryName=Philippines

Your wife will not need to bring any forms (the rules changed recently!), but she will need to bring in Passport photos (the doctor can tell you how many).

Good news everyone.

Today I received the Passport Request from the visa office in Ottawa (although my app was sent to LA - but who's complaining!).

I've now turned a cool shade of green on the spreadsheet.

Thanks Mrs. I'm tepidly excited, mainly because I've been a bit disconnected from the whole process as a way to keep sane.

I guess it won't really "hit" me till I've got the final approval. But, I'm grateful for this web site!

From medical checkup after how many months they asked you for passport ?

sooo I was emailed by the peeps in ottawa today saying that they expect to finalize me without a personal interview and request copy of my passport photo page....so i scanned my passport to them...is this the same thing as passport request ??? Not sure what this means....

I did my medical on Dec 27 (you can go to our spreadsheet to see the details -I'm "slunikkimc3") and it was sent on and received (I checked via tracking number) Jan 2.

I received PP request on march 14, so, a week and 2 months...
