To nester ,
Well i understand what you mean , but i do not see why 2 call center agents will tell someone he has been approved when he/she is not , by the way if i hadn't called i would have never known that i have been approved and an E-mail sent to me and i didn't receive and they decided when i informed them that i didn't receive the E mail to send a postal mail which i believe on its way now , when i called , i let the call center agent give me all the informations
she was the one to give all the details about for example where my application was sent overseas and so on , so i do not see why people shouldn,t call to follow up their cases that's why they are there! nowhere is written that when u call the delay your file , let's just use our rights when needed

Well i called CIC today and spoke to the agent. My application was received Oct. 20 and they mailed us the decision for the sponsor approval on Jan 3. And the agent doesn't even see any decisions made or any that they mailed anything or transferred file. He told me my file is still on process. It's frustrating…. i guess i have to wait till that mail arrived. who know's when. I'll just be patient and hope its approved. Sigh….

@zagalo @kaloka

well, I never implied that the call center agents would be lying/sweet-talking all the time. That's why I said their hearts are of different colors, and if the call is valid, it will surely help.

It was the call center who informed us that finalization may be taken up end of september. What month is it now?

I have in my AOR and PPR not to make follow-ups within the processing time. They even wrote approximately 15 months in all. But present processing time has now doubled. I do not know now which will apply to me. With the "september" not materializing, I think you will always count based on the latest issued processing times, or maybe sometime in between.

Wow, i wish i did not call the agent today. This afternoon we finally got the sponsorship approval from snail mail.
I am not sure if my approval is the same date as it shows on the mail Jan 3 and accordingly it has been forwarded to the visa office. All i can say is "Thank God".

congrats Kaloka, on the approval 8)

Hi Kaloka,

Yes I got my PPR on Janurary 13 2012. My wife mailed her passport and my 2 kids passports on Jan 14. They should have been recieved yesterday Jan 16. So now the "real" wait continues and it's more intense than ever because we have no clue what will happen next or when we will hear back from the VO. I am surprised though, because things seem to be moving fairly quick. So i can't complain. I'm not too sure what happens from here. Only the passports and airway bill were requested. Just from reading the forum it can be days, weeks or months until we have a word about the visas. I hope everyhting moves quick. My wish is that they are issueed soon so my daughter can turn 1 here in Canada.

I wish you luck and hope we see more PPRs this week.

Im a new sponsor on the board here. Im doing outland for my husband who is in Jamaica.

My husband is in Jamaica.I gathered all the documents we need so police and medical was included. I also sent the full $1040 fee.

Mailed application - October 28 2011
Application Rec'd in Mississauga - October 31 2011
Received Email from CPC w/ Client ID and app #-December 28
Website info updated with Decision Made - January 16
Contacted CIC to find out if sponsorship approved because I am not in Canada, Im vacationing in Jamaica w/ my husband and was advised that sponsorship was approved January 10 and rest of application has been mailed out to Jamaica's Office.

The real wait begins for me now. My husband lived in Canada for 5 years and is a failed refugee claimant. His PRAA was also turned down so he was removed from Canada. He voluntarily departed on Sep 27, 2011. Buying his own tkt so that it wont be a problem to return. We've been married since April 15 2011
