Hi guys

I'm wondering for those who had the ceremony, did they check for COPR (confirmation of permanent residence)? Some people say yes some say no...

I passed the test on April 25th

I'm gonna apply for the verification of status since I lost it but might take a couple months..

congrats on passing the test. Its randomly checked during oath though its not required. Better to re-apply for copy, it will be required in future as well (at time of penion)

Oath Taken - April 27
Decision Made - April 6
Test Date - March 28
Test Invite Date - March 8

And for folks tracking Mississauga office, we had 100 oath takers this morning and there was a second group later in the afternoon. So that office is hustling Based on my experience, Mississauga waits for everything to be in place before the test invite but then moves quickly.
This forum has been a great resource during my journey and I intend to continue contributing. Good luck to everyone waiting; your day will come very soon.

Thanks! My DM and Oath Invite dates are the same. April 6. I saw the DM status change in ECAS on April 7 with a note about Oath letter sent on April 6th. I received the letter by mail (arrived in my mailbox on 10th).

Hi Quiches. Thanks.

The ceremony was quick, it was in the Vancouver office, next to BC Place, same place where the test was given if your application is being processed in that office (as opposed to the Surrey office). The hour in the invitation was 8am, which is the time at which the office opens so about 15 or 20 minutes before everyone was lining up on the sidewalk waiting for the office to open. Once it opened everything went very smoothly, guests go to one room, candidates go for check-in, to hand in documents (invite, PR card, etc) and then the actual ceremony started at about 8:30-8:40. It lasted about 40 minutes. And that was it.
