October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

I had my application received by CIC Oct 16th, 2017. It used to be on ECAS but I didn't received my AOR. I contacted CIC late Dec, the agent said at that time that she see the application received, but "for some reason", the AOR hasn't been issued, but she gave me the application number.

But since 3 days, ECAS isn't showing anything if I look up by Client ID or the application number. Called CIC today again, and the agent put me on hold several times and then said that they never received any application for me, the application number doesn't exist, and she was implying that I am lying that application was shown on ECAS system at all. She said there is no trace of a Citizenship Application for my UCI.

She asked me to send another application, as my previous application doesn't exist. Pretty scary to think that they can lose applications even after receiving, and even after it's on their ECAS system.

Pretty darn mad, but I guess I will have to send another application and hope for the best

Sorry to hear about that - But I wonder if GCMS notes will help. Not sure if it would have logged what happend.

Also, would like to suggest MP enquiry - provide the app number the earlier agent provided to you etc. Good Luck!

Which number sequence do you use to talk to an agent? I keep getting a "we are getting a high volume of calls, and are unable to transfer you to an agent." message, which is so frustrating...

You should inform your local MP at once regarding the whole situation before further delay.
