OCI for New Born Kid

Hi All,

We am on work permit. Baby born in Toronto. For my new born kid what is process for OCI i have few question.

1- As we have indian Passport and Citizenship. What our documents required for Kids OCI form.
2- What is benefit for my new born kid after OCI?
3- If we apply indian Visa for my kid what is wrong compare to OCI?
4 - Can we apply OCI for my kid from india as well?
5 - Please suggest me worst and best case if possible>
Any other suggestion as per your experience it's really really valuable for us.

1. information is in BLS site for oci for minors
2. 5 year OCI card. which is in parity with Indian citizenship, with exceptions.
3. only 60 days of Visa not extendable. if you apply for regular visa it gives more time but not indefinite time as OCI.
4. Yes. you can.
5. Depends on your situation. Cannot speculate.
Apply for OCI and you can renew every 5 years, or change of passport. Its not full fee everytime.
