Occupation/NOC code confusion

Hi,

I am applying under NOC code 2112 (Chemist). My 1. work permit said chemist, my current work permit says postdoctoral fellow, however postdoc falls under NOC 4111 but none of the duties match mine (90% teaching in NOC4111 but I do 90% research in chemistry - therefore application under Chemist's NOC. It's also what I've read in the forum, one should apply under the NOC code that fits the duties of the employment and what is stated in the reference letter.)

But now I am confused what to fill in under "occupation" in Generic Application Form. Postdoctoral fellow? Or Chemist? I don't want to cause confusion. I was thinking to put Chemist with (Postdoctoral Fellow) in brackets. My letter confirming my employment says " hired as postdoctoral fellow to work as chemist (duties correspond to NOC 2112). Am I too concerned about this?

Any advice from the pro's is appreciated.

Chemist (Postdoctoral Fellow) is appropriate, as is NOC 2112.
