Congratulations to all who received their oath invitations. Be aware that the small number inside the ceremony address box (# 0XX) will be your seat number in the ceremony.

It seems that the finalized cases are approved in a single batch once per month (Maybe due to the absence of a permanent CJ).

A oathtaker....congratulations..that's great news..did you receive the letter today? what is the date of the letter..
i took the test on the 21st of march :)
would you mind sharing your timeline please

letter issued on 22nd and received today. timeline:

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on June 3, 2013.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on June 3, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on August 26, 2013.

We sent you a notice on February 28, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on March 21, 2014 at 8:15 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Oath: 14th may

many thanks oathtaker...your application was submitted in june but mine is in the end of july and i have 2 kids with the application..do you have an idea if that would delay the oath?

I been following this forum for a long time, I appreciate all your dedication, research and spirit of sharing experiences.
I have got my Oath invite in mail today April 23, 2014 (issued April 22, 2014),
my E-case is not updated yet, but snail mail turned out to be faster in Ottawa.

Here is my time line ;
1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship on April 4, 2012.
2. We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on April 4, 2012.
3. We started processing your application on November 29, 2012.
4. RQ received Dated April 11, 2013
5. RQ-Posted May 8, 2013
6. Received Notice to Prepare Citizenship Exam on Jan 8, 2014 (issued Dec 20, 2013)
7. We sent you a notice on February 14, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on March 12, 2014 at 1:30 PM.
8. April 23, 2014, Received Notice to appear – to take the oath of Citizenship on. Oath Ceremony on May 14, 2014 (issued on April 22, 2014)

I am very Happy and wishing Good luck to all of you who are still in Line.

Rosa, i am not informed/qualified to definitively answer your question, but I dont see any reason why those two facts would delay the process. May be other forum members have experience on this.

thanks oathtaker..i think that its not a factor for delay as u said..hopefully all will be fine..plus your application was submitted 2 months before me..so i think priority goes to early applications first..
