Initially, I thought so but there is no such restriction published anywhere by IRCC.
I remember seeing this somewhere in the IRCC website before I applied. In fact I was supposed to travel outside Canada the day I submitted my application, for vacation. I chose to submit it one day earlier so that there is no confusion on when I submitted and when I left for vacation. Check with IRCC again by calling them or perhaps reach out to an immigration attorney after a month or so.

My tracker got updated today. Oath scheduled for Jan 5. Waiting on an official email to see if it would be online or in person.

Can I apply for passport from the US after taking the oath in Canada? Can I come back to the US on the same day?

How did you fill out the physical presence part of the application? You have to put your last departure date and your last return date.

When completing the address history, do I need to list my temporary address while I was on vacation?

For example, I have been living in Canada since December 1, 2023. However, I travelled to India for one month, from October 18, 2024 to November 18, 2024.

Should I enter my address in India for that specific period, or should I continue to list my Canadian home address for the entire time?

IMO, your address history is your residential address. It doesn't sound like your residential address stopped being your Canadian address. You wouldn't list it there, but you'd of course list it in the physical presence section.

When completing the employment history, should the dates reflect only the last five years from the application date, or the actual start and end dates of each job?

For example, I worked in the UAE from May 2018 to May 2021. My application date is December 20, 2025.

Should I list my employment in Abu Dhabi using only the portion that falls within the five-year period (e.g., December 2020 to May 2021), or should I enter the full, actual employment period from May 2018 to May 2021?
In other words, when a job started before the five-year window but ended within it, should the entry reflect the true employment tenure or only the dates within the required five-year timeframe?

OR FOR ABU DHABI, SHOULD I ENTER FROM 5/2018 TO 05/2021? (MY ACTUAL WORK TENURE

There is a separate thread on how to fill application and various sections. It'll be good for you to follow that thread because that will have more people discussing the aspect of application filing.
